I am proud to be the new Executive Director of this thriving organization. We have undergone quite a transformation over the past few months, and there will be more exciting changes to come. September is National Recovery Month and what better time to have our Grand Re-Opening? This month’s calendar is chock full of recovery themed events and happenings. For the first time in the history of Nueva Luz, we are offering night programming. We are hoping Tuesday nights will become the place to be for young adults in recovery. For all you NFL fans we are also launching “Sober Sundays” . Every Sunday during the season from 10-2pm we will be showing games on our new flat screen tv. Come on down and root for your favorite team.      It has been very exciting to be a part of this whole creative process that has led up to this month. I am fortunate to work with some very talented people whose tireless efforts have helped reshape this organization. Many thanks to HOPE’s Board of Directors . Without their support and belief in our vision, none of this would be possible. But most of all, I want to thank all of our members. Your support and participation has allowed us to expand and grow our program. I look to continue, and build on this collaborative relationship for many years to come. Our new motto here at HOPE is that “Change is good”. So don’t blink because you might miss something. Ron Schmidt Executive Director
